find out when he bought the car, the warranty ends 5 years from that date, and im assuming that if he took good care of it, he did all the service recalls and flashes, but i would just make sure when you buy it. check under the car to make sure everything is all good, and if you havent already, test drive it.

Resonable price. But everyone want's to pay less. Tell him $15,000 and compromise with $16,000. Sounds like a good car. I would take the VIN # to the dealer (service Dept.)and have them look up the warranty history on the car.

$17.5k is a good price for a GT with that mileage. No need to try and screw the guy, I'd pay it and be happy. Also, if I see one more person type "ur" instead of "your", I'm going to go postal and blow up "teh intarnets". It's two more letters for God's sake...is this rocket science?

I've saw much better prices on AT 8's.

If you want an AT so bad get an 06 or better.

I just fiddled on kbb.com and with all the options you listed, including nav, I'm showing that in excellent condition, private party price is $20.5k. Edmunds is showing $19.4k. Not sure why these numbers are so far off from Valpac's above, and $19.5-20.5k sounds way high, but you might consider checking kbb and edmunds.com on your own and see what's an appropriate price to offer. Sounds like the car is loaded, so he might balk at an offer of $16k. Good luck on the purchase though!

if you have to go AT, go with a 6-speed, 6-port AT rather than a 4-port in the '04s.

Should I wear shorts or long pants today?

Make your own choice or ask your mom.

if you have all the updates on it and check it out, if everything is good, buy it, even if it is an AT, you will be happy
