View Full Version : Is the tuner RDS? Lensman 10-19-2003, 04:11 PM I've been reading the Canadian owners manual tonight (pdf) and I can't see any mention of the tuner (radio) having an RDS facility. Surely the UK car MUST have RDS, it's de-rigeur these days isn't it? Does anyone know please? AnilS 10-19-2003, 05:30 PM Lensman, the UK cars definately have RDS standard. It dispalyed the name of the local radio station in the red display, plus RDS logo on the stereo. Shame it didn't have standard DAB. AnilS. renegade_si 10-19-2003, 07:30 PM Strangely though, I think I heard somewhere that it has a digit less than the "standard" RDS ones now (which I believe to be 13) on the display eg for "BBCMerseyside" would become "BBCMerseysid". Haven't got that checked out at all though, have to wait until I next sit in one....oh that'll be soon I hope! Lensman 10-20-2003, 06:32 AM That's a relief: thanks guys. I presume that our console has a couple of extra controls for the 'TP' and 'AF' options then... Perhaps the display scrolls sideways to display longer text.
