how does the push start button accessory work? it is around 225 bucks i see but is it easy to install, is there an already set slot for it somewhere inside the car?

Depends on whether you have a LHD or RHD car. The kit does not work on a LHD. IIRC RHD cars have a spot near the dash light dimmer switch. Do a search and you should find a good write-up of an attempt to adapt the kit to a LHD car.

Right/Left Hand Drive. RHD only in UK and some countries in the Far East, including Japan.

(You might think this would mean we Brits would get our '8s earlier, but noooo... it does make Japanese grey imports in general very popular here though).

clear this up for me, does it not work on LHD cars because there is no plug? or is there no arranged place to put it?

are the wires too short?

Yes, Australia has cars and yes, they are right hand drive.

We even have computers and running water.

The piece does not fit the dash. Wrong curvature. Do the search, it explains it all.

thanks for your answers and patience. i guess ill scrap the push start button and probably opt for mazdaspeed a pillar garnishes.
