Question What do you think about this RX8?

Hello, Everyone

This is my first time in the forum and dont know much about cars. I was looking today at this RX8 at the dealership and it caught my atention. Now, the question that I have in mind is if this a good deal or not. ? Here is the link to the car ( http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...=&aff=national )

Please let me know before I go ahead and grab it up. Now I understand that this is the 212Hp model. But is there anything that I can do to make the HP go up?

Thank You,
Testlab

supercharger or turbo would be the only mods that would really give more hp and torque

Nah man dont get this, especially the 04's in the auto. I just got an 04 manual with only 40K miles on it, and it was the same price. The manuals are faster and more rewarding to drive. so IMO this is not a good deal, and i would definitally consider getting a manual.

Many No's and Manual's Hmmm. So it's not a good deal, because I thought it was.

Keep looking for a manual...there are a lot of nice deals out there on 8's, and you won't end up regretting buying an auto in 6 months.

First of all, it's a 2004. It's only four ports and four speed! That's the only reason why it's priced so low, a lot of people have problems with them. Also, the 2004 4AT is almost as slow as a Corolla! You don't want that! It's also going to be difficult to Turbocharge a 4AT. The only Supercharger that's worth it to get for the 4AT would be the Petite one and you'll still be slow.

(Maybe saying Corolla is a bit of an exaggeration )

If you want an automatic, buy the 2006+ models.

what ever floats ur boat, its blue = +1, 14k for an 04 is kinda ok, its an AT 4 speed which is about 30whp less than the MTs so keep that in mind

cheers

Get the transmission you want. The auto isn't bad. It's good, but not great like a manual.

Unless you plan on taking your car to the track or get some kind of sick enjoyment of driving a manual in heavy traffic then get an Automatic, otherwise you might want to consider a manual...But don't let these naysayers lead you astray. There's nothing WRONG with the AT

Edit: The only time I ever regretted not getting a manual was when I first started visiting this forum After awhile you just get use to the nonsense

Thank's everyone
it all depends on how much you are willing to spend. there are many different turbos and superchargers all of which have been discussed on the board. what body kit were you looking to get?
