I was surfing eBay the other day and found that AutoArt has come out with 1:18 scale metal models of the 8, like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3559423863&category=45349
Well I bid on one and got it for $43 before shipping, ostensibly as a gift for my son.
I received it Friday, and lemme tell you, this thing is GEORGEOUS. There is no way in HELL I'm giving it away... it now sits in a place of honor on my desk at work, and lets me look at an incredible copy of my 8 all day long.
Yeah yea I know, it's a bit silly, but what can I say? Brings a grin to my face every time I look at it. It's an incredibly accurate, detailed model, all the way down to the real carpet, trunk, interior, engine with engine cover that removes, and undercarriage.
If you're anywhere near as in love with your car as I am (and I *know* most all of you on this board are!) then you have GOT to get one of these models. You won't regret it. Oh, and by the way, I am in no way affiliated with AutoArt. I'm just raving about this thing because it's WELL worth the $43.
