How's it look? Do you like how it loads an image randomly? I could have 100 images in there for it to rotate between if I wanted to. In fact, I migh post the .psd somewhere so you could grab it and edit to submit your own header image. Would anyone want to give that a shot?

Perhaps you might like to emphasize the "club" part of the site by inviting regulars to submit suitably-sized pictures of their car, and the script could randomly throw one of those up occasionally.

The arrow is just a bored Photoshopper putting another design element on the page.

This way, you can submit new images with your car in the header, and the script will load them randomly.

I'm pretty sure it's the Quick Reply box, based on timing - when the two both showed-up.

edit: I went out & came back & the error message changed the line # & the url id stuff a little.

I'm getting the error too ... but it still works for me. Does the Quick Reply box still work for you? I get the error down on the bottom of IE, almost didn't even see it.

Quick reply works great for me - no errors (I'm using Safari on a Mac). I like the idea of random headers, as long as the quality of user-submitted images is kept high.

No, download the .psd ... edit your car into in, then upload a .jpg. If it looks good, I'll ASK you for the .psd. Which I'll then take, save for web, and upload into the rotation.

...I might suggest a border around the advertising box; it would clean it up a bit. I'm not sure if that's a problem in case someone later introduces a different sized ad that the box doesn't match - or maybe you can write in into the script. (junior web designer talking here).

I second that. Good selection of pics - very nice! However, I think the ad is too close to the picture. Perhaps, make it center betwen the left margin of the HOME button and the right edge of the screen (which depends on the user's desktop resolution). Or perhaps just make the ad flush to the left margin of the HOME button.

Keep up the good work! The page is getting better and better!

I like it a lot! The pics are nicely done, and 'tis a nice change to have different images swapping out periodically.

If you don't like it, you don't have to use it. Go and buy a server and set up a better one if you like, and look forward to a load of freeloading users complaining about your hard work.

RX8Club doesn't even have a photo gallery yet ... protegeclub does. And neither do either of the BETTER MANAGED forums. And I guarantee we have 10x the hardware and admin knowledge then they do too. Go use the gallery, and chill.

it would look bad on the board though cause the right-side of the car is cut-off- put it with the rest of the header and yeah..... it will be cut off- do what the other guys do here and fade it out to that side with a gradiated mask - but I agree, we need a yellow 8 up there!!!!!!!!

i'm not sure. i thought he had already done the extract of his car pic and pasted it onto the background and it was saved as jpg not psd.

EDIT m0j0 had arleady done the extraction. i converted that to psd format and will email mikeb.
