View Full Version : where can I get this kit from RX-8 TD-version
pfloydss 10-15-2007, 11:31 AM http://www.d-technique.co.jp/rx_8_top.html
I want a more 66 Shelby cobra style front and maybe rear to match with the wide fenders of the shelby cobra.
pfloydss 10-15-2007, 11:33 AM A more uniform oval shapped grill would be even better if anybody that makes front ends are listening.

thecow135 10-15-2007, 07:42 PM the rear isnt wider, and i have no clue where to order altho the kit looks nice
chrism 10-15-2007, 07:48 PM that is the tuning house that makes the kit so i would assume contacting them could work
pfloydss 10-16-2007, 07:26 PM I have emailed them with no responce as I am not sure the know how to read english as it is a Japanese site. I was wondering if there are any venders in the US the has them or can get them. Or maybe make something like it with a little more Cobra look to it.
WoodsOfGreenRx8 10-16-2007, 08:25 PM Lazi might be able to get a hold of it for you?
pfloydss 10-17-2007, 06:08 AM I finnaly got a responce but I cant read it, I think there is a phone # in it but if they dont speak english it wont help. Can anyone traslate?

Phade2 11-29-2007, 09:49 PM Is that the new 'integrated sports bumper' that's suppose to be updated on the 09 rx-8? or is that aftermarket?

coastie08 12-13-2007, 08:40 PM I wonder if there is any way to keep the stock fog lights with this bumper cover (i.e.- a bracket/mount)?

I would have never considered replacing my front bumper until now!
R Magic 12-15-2007, 01:58 AM There is no Vendor that sells their kit, so you'll have to order it directly from them. Also, I highly doubt this kit will resemble to a 66 Shelby Cobra, that kit almost looks stock.

for this Kit; the manufacturer sells the Kit *installed* at their paint shop, but as that's not an option for you ( 'cos you're not in Japan ) that's a No-Can-Do
Happy to followup on anything that's not already on our Site; sorry we couldn't help with that :tear:

ShAdOwFoX 03-08-2008, 01:40 AM i wasn't actually lookin for it, it was pfloydss who wanted it but either way it sucks that you have to be there to get it. Maybe you should make it into a spring break trip lol.
pfloydss 03-09-2008, 10:45 AM An 80 thousand dollar spring break trip for a 1500.00 bumper. Wow I must be in the wrong business.
coastie08 07-14-2008, 05:21 AM so there's no chance of getting this bumper in the US? :(

burnaby rx-8 07-16-2008, 12:42 PM I have to agree that the overall look of the kit is pretty close to stock. It has more of a puffer fish beak rather than a smile. If it were driving by though, I wouldn't even notice any difference unless I were staring at it for a while. I say if you are going to change, make the change noticable otherwise why spend the dough and get something that won't fit perfectly like stock does?
pfloydss 05-16-2010, 10:01 AM Anyone ever find this kit?
zoom44 05-16-2010, 10:08 AM did you read the thread? the company that makes/made it only supplies it as an installed kit. you have to get it fitted by them. they dont sell it any other way.
