Mazda Rx-8 Rim Problems

Ok i have a total problem... The rims I like wont fit on my 2008 rx-8 because of my caliper is oversized..... i dont want to put bigger rims on it because i have brand spanking new tires on my 16" rims that just came off the car dealership........ Would putting a wheelspacer help me in my case to have a better selection of rims without spending a fortune? And I wanna stick with the 16......

Wheel spacers would only push the wheel away from the hub... it wouldn't increase clearance around the caliper. Take this time to upgrade your wheels. 16" rims on the RX8 look straight dinky.

like architect saids.

it depends on what kind of size is the 16" wheels. our car has the 16" wheels option, so it fits with 16" wheels BUT your wheel might be too small.

so in the other words, forget about your set of 16" rims.

16s?! If you can't afford decent rims, you probably shouldn't be buying rims at all.

Can you even get 16"s anymore? I thought that ended after the 04's models.

well, i have 18's. so my problem might be different than yours. but when i put my new brake pads in, with my aftermarket wheels already on, the caliper stuck out further, and the way my aftermarket wheels are designed, the inside of each spoke would grind on the outside of the caliper when it went around. so i got wheel spacers and it works fine now.

was at the dealership about 6 months ago. saw a new car with the same ugly *** 16" wheels.

i might be wrong, but..

http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/disp...ehicleCode=RX8

you have to click on the engine mech. to find the wheel size.

So should the slushbox they come with. At least they got a 6 speed and higher output recently, btu the early auto's should not be called rx8's. I have never in my life seen such a performance and driver enjoyment difference between manual and auto as in this car. I use to routinely steer peopel from the AT RX8 towards a 6. If yoiu can't row your own gears, this is not the car for you....
