Red Devil 10-08-2007, 04:03 PM does anyone know if there are companies that have a AWD conversion kit for the rx-8 and who thinks it would be worth it? AWD in a RX-8 would be pointless and take away from the car's driving dynamics. Get a STi/EVO if that's what you're after. INSANO FLEX 10-08-2007, 04:07 PM thats true i should have known that since it was built to be rwd it would mess up its 50/50 wieght and some other things. But as far as a sti i would have to say no i love the rx8. i still have my little book from the 04 auto show on the 8 lol CnnmnSchnpps 10-09-2007, 12:23 AM You do realize there's alot of fairly large parts that have to fit on the front end to make this possible... Differential, axles, etc... AWD cars are built around this framework... No way an aftermarket kit could accomplish this. Probably the closest you would ever come to an AWD 8 would be sticking the renesis in an AWD chassis from another car. It may be an interesting idea but it would hardly be an 8. IMO, if you were gonna do that might as well be a 20b anyways... tajabaho1 10-09-2007, 11:59 AM easy, put the front renesis side ways, buy another renesis and tranny, put it in the back, pull both trannies to the front and step on the gas ^ if only roflmao, and team, your not doing it right damn it its OMGWTFBBQ!!! I have about 20 bucks to spend. Any suggestions? dillsrotary 10-09-2007, 06:09 PM if you dont' like the gas mileage now guess what awd will do to it chrism 10-09-2007, 06:19 PM why?.......why? CnnmnSchnpps 10-09-2007, 06:20 PM if you dont' like the gas mileage now guess what awd will do to it Gas mileage will increase as you are more efficiently utilizing your car's power. Wheel spin = gas wasted without moving the car forward. AWD would increase my gas mileage from 7 to at least 9mpg... |
