An excellent review for the RX-8 has been published in today's "The Australian". It precedes the opening of the Sydney Motor Show. Some excellent fancy footwork by Mazda Australia!

Yeah the review is good however the best thing about it is that the rx8 featured in both the review and the magazine is .
LIGHTINING YELLOW , i was told by a car journalist that yellow is t
he up and coming throphy colour in 2004-and beyond.
Love the rx8 especially in YELLOW.

I have read the review
But does anyone else think that the review is biased?
it doesnt even mention the fuel consumption as a possible negative.
I am starting to form a conspiracy theory, that journos are not going to badmouth the RX-8 because they all want to see Mazda release another RX-7

What's with the conspiracy theory and negative vibes , i for one am glad to see positive articles , on the rx8 and yes performance cars use more petrol .
Surely if you can afford the car wear the running costs and enjoy your ride .

Not that I believe there's a conspiracy theory, but anything that helps to bring back the RX-7 can't be bad...

What's up with the gas milage deal? Sorta like complaining about the gas mileage on the Space shuttle! SOME folks need a reality check. Vehicles are Purpose designed. If their purpose is Performance---efficency is NOT an issue, If efficency is the purpose---Performance is NOT an issue.
Get real, Vettes dont get 40 mpg and Escorts don't turn 5 second 0 to 60.
As for my 8, its a nice bonus that it gets 20mpg. But hey, that is the last thing on my mind when i am dumping the clutch at 7K rpm or drifting through a turn with my hair on fire.
Course that's just my humble opinion... Zoom, Zoom
