Here's the Greddy. Notice the Greddy is a straight bar, is shorter, and looks a bit taller with its location.

Well, the main question is... does the engine cover still fit over it?

Actually with just a little bit of dremel action I can modify the cutout already there to make it work.

I've seen a few of them on ebay lately.....too expensive for my blood. Cant see paying over $200 for a strut bar.

Shieet...with all those mods you've got going on you would not spend an extra $50 for a quality piece of hardware that comes direct from Japan for your machine?

Maybe you are right because I can not find a single other RX-8 owner with one.

Cool!

Nice pics. Thanks alot.

I agree the Gredy is taller, but the one you have is nicer.

Depends upon your application as to which bar you choose.

By the way, that looks like the RX7 strut bar.

I ran in RX7 club members and one of them had used an adjustable RX7 bar. It fit perfect on the RX8.

Now.... only to find out what bar that was............

Guess the price? Real inexpensive. Don't let the vendors rake you over the caols because it say... application RX8.

how much does it weigh? could you weigh it and your stock bar so we have a comparison from the same scale?

Don't feel like pulling it off, but I can say that it is much lighter than stock. Especially since it's made of aluminum.

I modified the cover to fit.

By the way, that looks like the RX7 strut bar.

Well, I can say this is a direct RX-8 piece that came straight from Japan. I could not find any applications for the RX-7.

Here's the Japan website. http://item.rakuten.co.jp/laile/c/0000000191/

Wow clean. But I think what devildog1679 was asking was is; is there a brace for the Master Cylinder? like THIS! (http://www.autoexe.com.au/rx8_files/MSE495.jpg)

That bar looks really sweet! Beautiful. What I particularly like about it is the way it moves the bar forward of the strut. It would be a perfect piece to go with a Pettit SC and give plenty of clearance. The Greddy is no comparison in construction or looks, but that only MO..

Cool!

This is what I'm looking to order soon....next week as a matter of fact. It cost less and looks better in my opinion. Waiting for the company to email me back with the final details....production and average shipping time to US. I will post the info for others once they answer all my questions.

I have the Tokico shock set and the adjustment knob is directly under the stock strut tower bar and I need to take it off every time I want to make an adjustment. I am considering the Greddy, JIC and this one. Is there enough room to make adjustments with this strut bar?

It appears that with the Greddy there will be plenty of room for any adjustments I would need to make.

Why don't you get the Mazdaspeed one? It has room for adjustment and the brake master cylinder brace really works well.
