Sorry if you though you were going to see a pic...

This won't work for me (my 8 is red), but imagine the top half of the rear view mirrors in chrome. I think this would work well with black and green body colours - particularly with aftermarket wheels.

Opinions?

As from your earlier experience of your beloved rx8 being egged and keyed why would someone want to bring more unnecessary attention to their rx8 , it already gets plenty of attention as is IMHO , there is enough jealous pricks out there without making the rx8 more of a target with the chromed mirrors .

Dont get me wrong i think they would look cool if not a bit elitist , or puffy.

Sorry - my mental image had chrome wheels and side vents and strakes ... couldn't you see that :D

IMO it'll unfortunately draw attention no matter what we do or don't do to the car's appearance.

No doubt I'll be a victim again one day - but I'm not going to let the actions of society's scum ruin my fun and keep me inside! :)

IMO, no way...maybe the plastic piece under the top half but not the upper painted half...and i wouldn't go chrome, i'd go black chrome...

chrome rims, chrome accents, chrome strakes are just about all the chrome i need...any more chrome on the car and you'll be bling blinging yourself to a brand new stolen car

bottom line its your car
I like the chrome mirrors on some of the audi's

please don't say chrome rims and RX-8 in the same sentence..

Out of curiosity, wouldn't that mean that people would like the appearance of the chrome on the car? Just a though...

Chrome mirrors would remind me of the full sized chevy trucks with the chrome fronts on their mirrors. I think if I saw it, I just may like it. But until then, hesitant.
