I'm sure it's extremely fast, but that's just plain wrong. Putting a piston engine in any RX brand Mazda is sacrilege. I've seen 350 small blocks in FC's also.

I would not buy it. I would like to see it burning donuts at an auto-x:)

meh, engine conversions into RX-7's are only complimentary to the platform (likewise with other engines in Miatas)... truth be told, you CAN get more power cheaper through a piston engine, 'cause they're cheaper for the displacement (like, 7.2L V8's are cheaper than 4 rotors, for example) so it's understandable that people wanna ditch 'em.

anyways, personally, although the GN engine is pretty nice, i'd still rather see the LS-1 in the ol' FC :D (do those fit??)

Yeah LS-1 will fit. There is a guy in Evansville, IN that has one. I am pretty sure there is a couple he built running around the area.

once had a 72 super beetle with a 66 vette 327 in it... i wouldn't call it blasphemy, even though it wasn't air cooled.. :-)

However, that GN engine is probably about the best bang for the buck you can get, it's very cheap to make the GN an 11 second car. It's also tough as nails, though an LS-1 would be fun as well :D

Crazy what some people will do. Kind of like that Dodge motercycle with the Viper engine, and 4 wheels.
