Gyro 10-13-2003, 05:09 PM its the server. Lots of people mentioning graphic problems. Whatever it is criples IE, and you need to resart IE to get things working again for any website browsing:( Lensman 10-13-2003, 05:21 PM Netscape 7.1 working fine. downshift 10-13-2003, 05:45 PM Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org) works fine :) inittab 10-13-2003, 05:52 PM Originally posted by downshift Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org) works fine :) That's an understatement! :) energie 10-13-2003, 06:24 PM Originally posted by Gyro its the server. Whatever it is criples IE, and you need to resart IE to get things working again for any website browsing:( it's IE's problem. does anyone know what exact it is? quite annoying actually i just switch over to Mozilla ;) hornbm 10-13-2003, 06:32 PM yeah, because I use mozilla, i didnt even know there WAS a problem mikeb 10-13-2003, 08:05 PM no problems here at work energie 10-13-2003, 08:07 PM yeah it doesn't happen all the time, happens once in a while if you're using IE. that was just enough to tip me over, Mozilla is now my default browser :) brothervoodoo 10-13-2003, 08:15 PM It happens to me at least once a day. Since IE has dominated the browser market I wouldn't exactly say "it's a problem with IE" but something seemed to change in how this server is parsing Pics since it was upgraded. It's certainly annoying! energie 10-13-2003, 08:36 PM it's not just this server too. Once you visit this server, or other server with the same version. your current browser process is screwed, you won't be able to view any pictures anywhere else, not even at google. U. N. O. 10-14-2003, 10:05 AM thats it... i am going to netscape... boarder 10-14-2003, 11:59 AM This also happens to me at work (IE as well), only after being on THIS site for a while. It didn't happen before the switch. Definetly a IE/server issue as my Powerbook with Safari doesn't have this issue. eccles 10-14-2003, 01:20 PM Until just now, I had no idea what you guys were complaining about, since I have never experienced this problem on either my desktop nor my work PC, both running IE6 (one Win2k, one XP). However, I have just experienced it here on my little ol' laptop running IE6 under Win98 (though other sites in other browser windows were totally unaffected. After shutting down all instances of IE and opening it anew, it's now working correctly again. Doncha just love Microshaft? sferrett 10-15-2003, 08:47 PM It happens to me too, but the rx8 and rx7 forum sites are the only two websites that seem to trigger the behaviour. I wonder if there's some funky html or way the new loadbalancer is handling the images that is tweaking some bug in IE... Seems too much of a coincidence that we all started seeing this issue around the same time... Yes - closing down all the IE instances that were trying to load the stuck images will resolve the issue for a while. Simon. U. N.
