This past Sunday was the annual Exotic Car Lapping day at Toronto Motorsports Park, put on by Bieri Autmobili here in Toronto. I have to say that if you are an experienced lapper you must attend this event. I will try to post up some pics later this evening... but needless to say it was an amazing time.

Some of the cars there were as follows:

-12 Dodge vipers 1996-2007's
-1 997 Porsche 911 GT3
-1 996 Porsche 911 GT3
-1 911 Turbo 2 convertible
-3 supercharged C6 z06 vettes
-4 M3's
-1 Z3 m roadster supercharged
-1 Laborghini Gallardo

Anyways they run a pretty structured timing schedule, but an open lapping format (open passing, no ride alongs). It was certianly well worth $200. I got in 2.5 hours of lapping between 10am and 4pm, I left then but they ran until after 6pm apparently.

BTW - my 8 running at 10/10ths pace managed to tag along with a carrera and carrera 4 both running at 8/10ths

That's easy. The 997 GT3 is nicer looking. Too bad it wasn't an RS... ;)

Good to hear the 8 kept its ground.

Yeah the 997 GT3 was awesome. I have a good video of it idling then taking off. The kid driving it was pretty fast too. Only one guy there asked me about the car. He came up and and said "You are really fast out there, which Honda is that?" LOL same as always no respect for the 8.

Well, what did you expect? You went to a "exotic car" lapping day. Of course they're going to refer to the RX-8 as a Honda! lol
