Sway bar install issue...

I went to install my progress sway bars tonight but ran into a problem. All the nuts came off the bushings easily enough - as did the driver side bolt connecting the stock sway bar to the end link. The same bolt on the passenger side, however, just turned endlessly without loosening or stripping. Any ideas or suggestions?

This is my first post, btw. I've already gotten tons of great info off this site and am very grateful for all those who contribute...this really is an amazing site.

was it the front or rear? post some pictures to make it a bit clearer of what happened.

It seems like the bolt did strip though...

You should check this thread for information as to how to remove the endlinks, it should help with your issue, https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=43677.html

You're just spinning the ball joint. You'll find the threaded stud (bolt) has a hole for an alan key. Put the key in there and hold it as you turn the nut with a wrench. Easily done.

yup, i did the same thing when i installed my sway bars

you've really got to hang on though to that allen wrench since it takes a fair amount of torque to undo it

yea sometimes the endlinks require you to use and allen wrench. i never needed it, but plenty of people did.
