After 2 failed attempts to hold a weekly RX-8 meet on the North side of Houston, things are finally looking promising!

WHERE?
The NorthWest corner of the I-45 and FM-1960 junction.
As soon as you get onto 1960 heading West you will see a Hooters on your right. Behind that Hooters is a massive parking lot. The lone handful of RX-8s amidst the concrete sea is us :)

WHO?
Anyone who wants to come is welcome, regardless of the vehicle they come in - just don't come looking for trouble or races.

WHAT?
Well, like I said - it's a big empty lot. There's no real "event" going on - just a bunch of guys standing around telling stories. Keef and I got some mods we'd like to show off, Legend has some auto crossing stories to tell us, and Rob... well... Rob will make fun of all of us ;)

WHEN?
Like every week, we'll agree on 8:00. Usually everyone futzes around too much and doesn't arrive until 9:00 or later, but I'm thinking that since it's a freakin STICKY, everyone will show up sooner...

You guys ever going to come to a actual club meeting? We always get plenty of people. :)

I'm working this 5th, so... If I'm not at work I'm at the meeting spot (I work 500 feet from the meeting spot anyway). But if it's raining hard I'm completely out.

i'm always at the local rx meets ^ ^ and i will let everyone know tomorrow if i'm coming or not

Man this meet is way too far for me...i know it's no excuse but dayum.

We can host it further south next time if more people are going to show up.


The only reason it's so far North is because the most consistent attendies live on the North side. Our ears are open to suggestions! :)

We have been to local meets. 1 with my FC, 1 with my FD, and 1 with my... uh... FE(?). The only reason I don't go to more of them is because my schedule usually conflicts :(

This thread is a sticky, ok? A freakin' Sticky! I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THAT HAPPENED, but it did. CLEARLY this is now an important meet, therefore you must come. This goes for all non-injured (HERO) 8 owners! Distance is no excuse. A guy on these boards told me that once. He was right, too!

As for how it became a sticky i honestly don't know. I guess because I didn't call it a "North Houston Meet" like I always do he thought we were organizing something a bit more substantial.
...Either way, I'm going to put more information in my first post. I realize the meet is only a couple of hours away, but just in case the thread's mysterious stickiness grabs the attention of an extra person or two, I'm always up for meeting new rotor heads.
