Only 80F here w/ 50% humidity. 70's in the plan for next week. I guess 104 is the price you must pay for the kind of scenery you get.

tajabaho1
09-03-2007, 04:47 PM
^ our scenery now adays includes burning asphalt and dried out leaves

and dude, if u look at the road surface, you can literally see vapor rising from it
I don't even get ac condenser water anymore, they all vaporized

Your b*tching about 104* of dry heat? Pfft.. Atleast you can hide from that. Last couple of weeks its been 90*, plus 40-50% humidity at midnight.. Hell, up in Northern California, in Redding where I am from, they see it well above 110* here and there.. But, 104* still sucks! ha

sorry, i came in here expecting to see bewbs. i been blasting the AC at my house 24/7. 90 degree nights outside? no problem. lately i been having to sleep with a long sleeve and blanket at my house. this passed weekend was so bad, all my friends got together to chipped in for a room at the Ramada just so they can sleep in AC. well, that and binge drink. but mostly for the AC. hot outside? yes, but that doesn't concern me so long as i stay inside. lets hope its still not hot next sat for when i go paint ball. damn, that would suck for all my shit talking right now. lulz:lol2:

I came over to the states a month ago and it was hot everywhere I went . One thing I noticed was how frigging noisy your A/Cs are . How is anyone supposed to sleep with all that racket going on ?

Heat wave finally broke a week or so ago in the ATL. 92 and humid seems nice now. Almost 3 weeks of 100+ with humidity. People can debate 103 with humidity or a dry 110 all day, but hot is hot!

Be careful track friends. 140 degree asphalt temps at Road Atlanta a couple weeks ago. No amount of water/gatorade is enough. You can keep hydrated, but it still beats the crap out of you. Mon Tues felt like I had been run over.

My electric bill was almost $500 last month.
It was over $300 the month before.
I moved to Arizona for the heat and lack of moisture, but this is ridiculous.

I went to bring in the trash bin the other day and the sole of my sandal melted to the driveway and pulled it right off my foot.
I had to hop into the garage and grab a screwdriver to pry it up.
The laser thermometer said the asphalt was almost 200°F.

Jersey hasn't necessarily been really HOT... but the humidity is starting to take it's toll on me... especially in a dorm with no AC.

Dam, some high electric bills. Our light power bill is about $150-$180 and thats in the peak heat times and about $80 or less other times of the year.
But I like the heat and fresh air + I'm up by red rock mt.

I helped a friend move into a new house in Corona, CA on Saturday.
118 degrees at one point. I"m certain we broke the 120 mark that day...

Denny's run at 1 am showed it was still 89 degrees outside. :banghead:

yup, today its only 100 ish, I think and hope the worse is past

and MM, I was in the same situation in Arizona like a year ago while I was at my mom's friend's house I was outside and my cheap plastic slippers became sticky and stuck to the road, I left it there though =="

Every where has it's problems. Why else would you have moved from where you started out or not left where you are? I figure that a little heat beats other types of weather that causes you to loose everything. My only complaint is the overheating of my 8.

Want to know what it's like in Phoenix driving your car with the windows down?
(first off we'ed never do it) Take a blow drier, turn it on high and point it at your face. That's what it's like at 4:00am when it's cool outside. It's 101 outside right now. 9:27 pm.

If you're used to it, it's not bad. even just moving from the Southern US to nothern US you'll find yourself wearing layers of clothing most times in the year, even late spring.

Please spend a day in Louisiana. The heat index right now is 95, and to me that is considered cool weather. In August heat indexes were around 110 easy. I got in my 8 one day and the temperature said 117. 20 mpg is alot.

my little rotary is hiding in my garage with a car cover on to avoid the ugly heat.
Although she did need a 'jump' this morning but that's a different story. (damn trunk light!!)
