When shifted into reverse i sometimes get stuck in an inbetween gear, that is the best i can describe it. When i apply the gas, it sounds like i am grinding the gears, but the reverse lights are on, and i am in the right gear. Any ideas what could be happening?
FYI: This is an '06 model, only 7600 miles.

Only have two guesses:
1.) You aren't fully in even though you think you are. You sure you've pushed down, over, and into reverse and it's all the way in?
2.) You have lost reverse all together and have a transmission problem. It's under warranty right? That's the best news.

It was just a question because i can still reverse, just once in awhile when i go to put it in reverse it just doesn't want to go. I do push it down quite enough for it to go into reverse, just once in awhile it doesn't go. Yeah the car is definitely still under warranty. To me when it does happen, it seems as though it's alittle loose. Was really just wondering if i'm the only person that it's happened to.

I've heard of some pepole who will shift into 6th, leave clutch in and then go to reverse........might be worth a shot.

No this has happened to me before. But now I can tell if it's fully in reverse or not. If it doesn't go in all the way, I usually put it in another gear then put it in reverse again.
