i was contacted by this local shop in signal hill called mastergrade about making a custom CF/Fiberglass trunk. what they want to do is to chop my mint blue wing in half and integrate the wing into the trunk. so its going to be a one piece trunk with the look of a wing. kind of like the autobahn trunk and the M3 CSL trunk. i am going to drop off my car on the 28th of this month and its going to take two weeks for them to have the first finished trunk. they use vacuum bag technology so the weave always come out perfect (can be done in 1x1 or 2x2 weave), and since its vacuum bag and not hand laid, you will not seen any resin as you might with the typical CF pieces. it will be made in both CF or Fiberglass, and the fitment is guaranteed. (or however the oem trunk fits, if you look at your oem hood, its not a perfect fit as in one side might have a bigger gap than the other, etc etc...) so what do you guys think? would you all be interested in something like a wingless trunk with the look of the wing? let me know guys! this shop is thinking about becoming a vendor on our forum and make full replacement CF interior/exterior pieces where the oem pieces can be replaced. to Mods: please PM me about how much it is to become a vendor? thank you!

the one piece cf mint blue wing+cf trunk will definitely gorgeous.

but one piece cf spoiler+cf trunk is not a new concept, re-amemiya made those since late 06, and i am having it.

I keep forgetting to align mine. damn shop didn't do it right and I've been too lazy to fix it.

i can ask them, but i think its illegal to not have the third brake light. unless you relocate it somewhere else.

 

relocate it on the middle of the spoiler instead.

first post, third picture. imagine the trunk and wing integrated into one piece, and with the wing chopped in half. thats what the cf trunk will look like. its not going to stick out too much so it will be a very subtle look.

 

ahh yes i recognize those pictures... and its the spoiler that i thouhgt it was... i am down, this should be great... i have seen the spoiler in person and if it was 2/3rds the length it would be perfect
