I sold my RX-8 and no longer have any use for my system. Here's what I'm selling:

Custom Fiberglass 4080-like Box for one TWELVE inch subwoofer. The MDF sub ring is made to fit my JL 12w3v2 sub, and it has a nice, tight seal. I am asking $260 dollars shipped for the enclosure, as it is hard to find 4080 boxes meant for 12" subs. (SOLD).

JL Audio 12w3v2 subwoofer. Used for less than a year, still hits very nice. I never pushed this sub to its limits, running my 325 watt amp at 2/3 gain max with volume never higher than 23 on the stock bose headunit. I'm letting the sub go for 50 dollars shipped. (SOLD).

Rockford Fosgate 325.1 Amplifier. This amp is a good match for my sub, and looks cool too. Provides nice, clean bass with customizable options. You can buy a remote bass knob on ebay for pretty cheap as well. I'll sell this for 70 dollars shipped. (SOLD).

Tsunami 1.2 Farad capacitor. This cap is awesome, it has a digital voltage display and really improves the quality of your sound. Also has high and low voltage audible warnings. Helps to stop headlight dimming and other issues with most systems that dont have caps. This will go for 50dollars shipped.

Pictures of the listed items are availible here (http://usera.imagecave.com/1145climber/)

All of my items are in great condition, with only minor superficial defects. One of the mounting brackets on the tsunami cap is broken, as visible in the pictures, but if it's lying down in the trunk, this is impossible to discern and it will still hold it tight in place.

PM me for any questions or comments. I can be pretty flexible with the pricing, as I'm just trying to get rid of this stuff.

Oh and if you live locally and can pick the item up, then I can cut down on the cost as I won't have to pay shipping. I'm twenty minutes west of Boston.

hahaha thanks man. yeah, maybe, but i sold my car to a dealership and they werent interested in a subwoofer and whatnot. in fact, they kind of wanted me to return the car to stock, so thats exactly what i did...

except for the discreet remote-bass-knob that i built into the spare button blank next to the DSC button... i cant wait for the next owner to come across that and spend days trying to figure out what it is, even though its hooked up to nothing now... lol

ummm... 4080 boxes are selling quickly at 250 shipped. my box is more rare, as it is for 12" subs, and thus the extra 25 or so dollars.

one hundred for both?? i'm pretty sure that shipping for both the sub and the enclosure would cost more than 100 dollars lol. i'm flexible with the pricing, but not thaaattttt flexible.

any other offers?

if that amp is one ohm stable i might take it? would like the box since i have the other side... trying to bridge 2 "two ohm DVC" 12" subs and it knocks it to one ohm... blew one already because my mtx amp is only 2 ohm stable- thanks~!

Not to hijack, but I'm a little confused about how you could combine 2 two ohm DVC subs to get 1 ohm. I'm assuming that each voice coil is 2 ohms. If you put the coils in parallel, then each speaker would be 1 ohm. If you put the coils in series, each speaker would be 4 ohms.

DVC subs are intended to provide flexibility in terms of the load they present to the amp. There are two aspects to consider in terms of deciding how to wire two DVC subs to an amp: connecting the voice coils within each speaker, and connecting the speakers to the amp.

You can connect the voice coils either in series or in parallel. If you connect them in series, the resultant impedance of the speaker is twice the rated impedance of each voice coil. In your case, the result would be a 4 ohm speaker. If you connect them in parallel, the resultant impedance of the speaker is half that of each voice coil. In your case, the result would be a 1 ohm speaker.

Now you need to determine how you want to connect your two speakers to your amp. You again have the same choices: serial or parallel. And the math works the same way: connecting them in series doubles the impedance of each individual speaker, and connecting them in parallel halves the impedance of each individual speaker.

So here are the 4 possibilities for your speakers:

1) Coils in series, speakers in series: 4 + 4 = 8 ohm load on amp
2) Coils in series, speakers in parallel: 4 / 2 = 2 ohm load on amp
3) Coils in parallel, speakers in series: 1 + 1 = 2 ohm load on amp
4) Coils in parallel, speakers in parallel: 1 / 2 = 0.5 ohm load on amp

Most audio experts recommend that you do not connect speakers in series, since this puts each speaker at the mercy of the behavior of the other speaker. Therefore, that eliminates choices 1 and 3 above. That leaves you with choices 2 and 4. Choice 4 will not typically be useful for you, since it's hard to find an amp that's stable with a 0.5 ohm load.

Therefore, your most viable choice is #2, the 2 ohm load. Most amps should be able to handle that.

you mean how light? lol

right now the sub is in it, so im not completely sure, but i'd say about ten pounds at very most... prob between 5 and 10, lighter than any MDF box ive ever lifted anyway
