I have to share this...

During our vacations this July we went to visit relatives and we took our nephew to the beach. He's 5 and lives with his grandpa and grandma and likes it very much when "younger" people visit since it's like having a bunch of tall friends to play with for a whole week.

So we're in the 8 on our way to the beach and he's sitting in the back seat, humming to the radio and generally being very calm. We get to an onramp so I give the car maybe 75% throttle to get up to speed for the highway but don't want to get too aggressive since we've got a kiddo in the back. Just for kicks, I let it go all the way up to 9k RPM.

I heard this tiny excited voice in the back that goes "YOU GOT IT TO NINE! HAHAHAH DO IT AGAIN!" so I crack this huge grin, downshift and push it to 9k RPM again. "HAHAHAH YOU TOOK IT TO NINE AGAIN! HAHAHAHA I LIKE IT IT GOES BRRRROOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!". At this point my GF starts talking to him and he goes "When I'm bigger, I'll have a car too"... "What kind of car, a big truck like grandpa?" "No I'll get a car just like uncle has! It's pretty! I'll take it to nine too!" "What color will it be?" "It'll be black" (my 8 is black)...

So I'm looking at my GF with this huge grin on my face and after a few moments of silence I hear: "But grandpa's truck goes to eleven..."

LMAO... Spinal tap anyone?

My son likes to say that my car is faster than Lightning McQueen, even though it is NOT a race car. He is sure to remind me that my car is most definitely NOT a race car... often.

Punk boy.

I took my little cousins (7 and 4) and let my uncle (their dad) drive. Before we started driving there was the usual "this is cool" talk. Once we started driving the older one got dizzy and saying he felt sick. :lol2: guess he wasnt used to riding in a standard car with all that aggressive shifting. It was funny though when he called his dad a bad driver haha

If you want to know what's cool ask a kid -
they listen to their folks, to the media, and they sure know a good looking car when they see one!
