You seem to dog the car alot and bitch about pricing and haggle over stupid stuff like when you're gonna get you're lousy 500 bucks!!?! I drive this car everyday and have spent alot of time with it, not to mention other spectacular cars(i.e. gti 20th anv., WRX, MB SL55 and all AMG series Mercedes, M5, M3, RX7 3rd gen., 911 T, you get the point) everything under the sun and this car is exceptional for 31,000 well equipped!!!)

Seems like you haven't bothered to read any of the posts from those of us who love the car. Please don't group everyone on this forum into one mind-set over the RX-8. Also, since most of us have already bought the car, I wouldn't hold my breath for sales leads.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure this thread will get closed by a moderator, but anyhow......

Read up on a few more of the threads and try to separate the potential buyers, from the owners and trolls. Check out the polls from the owners who kept vs those who turned it in. I think you'll find a majority of us who purchased kept it and are satisfied.

ok mario i'll bite. besides the fact that you are disobeying the forum rules that you agreed to when you registered( specifically the one that says dealers are not allowed to advertise) you also decided to flame 80% of this forum's members. but i will put that aside for a moment and say welcome aboard. you'll find that there are many willing listeners and open minded people here. so please enlighten us with whatever information about our beloved rx-8 that you think we might not already know. and please spill the beans on this inside information that you have. it would be most appreciated. you mentioned people griping about not having the debit cards yet that have been promised to them in the agreement they were asked to sign. perhaps you could start by answering that simple question- when should we expect these debit cards?

Haha, good ole Concours Motors, didn't test drive an RX-8 there but did drive a BMW when I was looking for a new car, whatever saleman I had was about the biggest moron I've come across. He even had the nerve to insult the car I was driving in the process by putting it down and pumping up the 330. In addition my best friend bought his Lexus from there and would have never bought the car from them based on the people he was dealing with, they just happened to have what he wanted and he couldn't find it elsewhere.

Concours seems to have this stuckup attitude beceause they are one of the few luxury car dealers in Milwaukee, however put them in most other cities and the way they do business would put them right out of business IMO. Maybe some people have had good experiences but I'm not one of them.

By the way if anyone is looking for an 8 in Milwaukee, Don Jacobs was great to me when I test drove the car, I can't think of anything bad to say other than they didn't know the seat had a height adjustment on it. They also never charged a markup on the car and seemed willing to deal, I didn't feel like someone was out to rip me off.

Hey Mario, you are an asswipe. Most of the questions and issues here have been legit. Its nice to see that you have such unlimited resources that $500 is meaningless to you, but if you had been my salesperson and treated me like that, I would have gone to another dealership. Regardless of my high or low means. I love my 8 and haven't complained about it at all, it seems like the majority of people on this board aren't complaining (esp current owners as opposed to prospective owners and people who just like to troll around). So go back to your cave and take a real look around this site before throwing some shit at the wall and seeing if it sticks.

The other guys have been here for a long time (way before Japan got their cars) and have been very helpful to all the members here as we needed the info on shipments, allocations, VIN numbers etc. Now you johnny-come-lately dealer show up and start running your mouth without the facts........ LOL.. you read my mind.. I kid you not EVERY Mazda dealership I went to, even the one I bought at, did not know much about the car at all.. some even went as far as give me false details about the car..

When it comes to sales people, all they care about is the sale, they don't even care to spare a minute to glance at their own brochures on the car.

As a side question, Mario is a dealer, working for a dealership...If this is true - who writes his checks? MNAO or the local dealer? If it's the local dealer, then he is not an actual Mazda employee, so what inside information could he possibly have that has not already appeared on this board?

Car salesman are the most expendable link in the chain. Not because the job isn't important, but because it requires little to no educational background or prior experience.

Now I'm just ranting. Thank God for corporate partner discounts, 99% of the BS goes out the door with them, and the salesman is powerless and can only say, "Thank you sir, may I have another?"

Mario, I don't know how long you have been reading this forum, but one thing should be clear by now. There are a lot of TROLLS that log on here JUST to bash the 8. They often pretend to own an 8, but the little things give them away.

Please don't lump the bulk of the participants on this board in with the trolls. The trolls do tend to bring the negative threads up to the top of the forums. If you skip down a ways, and don't bother to read every thread that exists to bash the 8 (they're pretty obvious) I think you'll see that there are MUCH more positive comments and discussions about the 8 than there is negative. Point being, don't let a few trolls make you think we all hate or are unhappy with the car, because most of us aren't.

And in the future, I might suggest that if you want to address the few people who are unhappy with the car, and not get everyone else's dander up, you don't start a thread to "ALL of you...." That's like a deliberate challenge to ALL of us that DO love the car, and it's insulting enough that many feel compelled to defend ourselves.

1) Why is Mazda taking twice as long to send out the $500 & free maint. cards as the time they gave us to make our decision. (Seems like the no-brainer process involved of sending them out should have taken a lot less time than the time involved in us researching and deciding whether or not to keep the car.)

2) What's the price of 16" wheels. I would like to buy a set for winter tires.

All cars have issues and the RX 8 does too!!! We need to hear the good and the bad to make things better and help those who are having problems. It's a fine automobile that needs some kinks worked out....nothing is perfect!!
