Where in TX would one be able to find either a good track to run the 8, or maybe a place where they can teach you to drive it to it's limits?

Check out SCCA. i dont know if there are any event in lubbock, but i autocross with them here in dallas. if you ever come by dallas, Texas Motorsports ranch has a driving school which is a ton of fun. check out Apexdrivingacademy.com for more informaion.

 

SCCA had an event here in Lubbock a few years back, I had my trans am back then and my friends asked me if I wanted to go, but wasn't really interested to see how bad my TA did in the corners

Now that I've got an 8 I'd really like to take a class or something to know how to drive the car better and faster, etc etc.

 

In the DFW area you can autocross or track your car pretty much every weekend:

- BMWCCA
- I'm sure there are others
