Call me a fanboy. Call me an apologist for Mazda. Call me whatever you like, but after living with my 8 for a couple months, I have come to appreciate the work that a crew of professionals at Mazda has done.
From the people that designed the Renesis, the chassis, the suspension, the unique center channel design; the artists that designed the instrument cluster, the body shape, the rotary accents; the people that put it all together and made all the systems work together, all deserve accolades.
When I look at the car and imagine all the hands and minds that worked together to produce it, all those people working to make me happy: well they did it.
As a work of art (inside and out) and a technological accomplishment, their efforts have paid off in this unique vehicle. I'm not sure how many people and teams there were on this years-long journey to my garage, but each of them should be proud of their accomplishment.
