So my passenger window went down and wont come back up.
this happened once before and it was the regulator in the window and cost 70 bucks.

well this time mazda says its the window switch that needs to be replaced and its 200.00 plus 100 labor


300 just to make my window go up
sounds crazy

anyone have this happen

yes
my car has 70k on it
my new motor has 1k on it
but the car is a 2004

my regulator in the window broke 13 months ago
it only has a one year warranty

no offense intended...but you're sure that the button on the driver's side that locks the window isn't "on"? It may sound silly but on my '04 I had to have the dealer show me that button when I had it in for some recall work.

Try a body shop.

They will do it for cheaper.

Did you ever find this switch? I may end up having to pay to get my switch replaced but I will know for sure tomorrow.

When you say switch, do you mean the whole component? I have em. I changed mine out for the silver buttons ones. Less than a year old.

I'm not actually sure, I have not taken it apart but they told me it's the drivers side switch. Does anyone have a diagram of how to remove the switch or the assembly?
