I bought a primer and sprayed that first
then applied the VHT racing red spray paint

so far so good
no problems

Good good.

I like the brush set (G2) did you take off your calipers Mike, or just cover up your wheels etc real well?

I did my red RX-8 calipers in black with the G2 stuff. More expensive product but about 2 1/2 hours of work.

i painted mine blue with 1200 degree auto paint. i cleaned each each brake with simple green than used wire brushes.Step two use three coats of paint during each coat wait 10-15 min.Step three same process as step two but this time use clear coat. 10 bucks for everything and it looks great.I will post a pic soon but cant, beacuse i left my digi cam in NJ and im in Fl Now.

Mike, the VHT paint will last forever. Back in '99 I painted my others cars rims with the stuff. That car has been used and abused up and down the highway and drag strip. Not one nick or imperfection in the paint to this day.

Looks good by the way. I need to find the time to do mine like that

How is your caliper paint going mikeb?

Mine is already burnt on the track - they are rated 490 C or 900F and I manage to burn them to charcoal black. :)

I cannot repaint them since they will not stick on - so I just left it as battle marks

Ja, I'd like to see it in person.

I haven't found a red that matches yet.

That's why I went with black.
