Came across this Click me (http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_749307_-1_11621) and really sparked my interest. What are you alls thoughts on these type of products? Has anybody any experience with it and if so how did it perform? Can this only be used with R compounds?

Last year, I was helping a local guy get his Lotus Elise prepped for autocross and we had a bunch of older Hoosiers in the correct sizes. Problem was, they were kind of bricks. We used this stuff, with good results: http://www.formulavtraction.com/FVTT.htm
I don't think any of these softeners would really help much with high tread wear rated tires, but they do perform as advertised on R compounds and slicks.
Check with you sanctioning body for legality...;)

Yeah will do, I was particularly interested in the Trackbite because it says it does not soften tires but improves traction by means of adhesion...I wonder how this stuff will perform on some softer street tires like the Advan neovas :icon5:

Supposedly the OTS tire treatment can be replicated by using the following common-household chemicals:

50/50 mineral spirits and kerosene.

Try at your own risk. Be sure to have proper safety gears since they are known as carcinogens.

had reasonable results with FV in the past too, the rest were junk

they'll never be anywhere like near-new though ... now I just buy new tires instead

ps: your original limk is for drag strip stuff, won't last for autox/track, don't waste your time on the other stuff mentioned
