whoa! I bet those guys are pissed at Injen that their intake caused them to sling pistons like that! I would be so pissed if my intake caused me to lose a motor! Wow, nothing else could've been the cause of such a horrible engine failure, nothing at all. Injen must've sent them a faulty unit. Probably didn't lubricate all of the moving parts on the intake prior to usage. Also, Injen intakes require a 6K mile break-in period or else it'll cause your motor to sling pistons. That's just what mazda would tell them if it was their car out there!

comon now... lets not hate on the 350Z owners.. too bad those cars are a dime a dozen now.. hopefully the RX will never be like that.. the 7s never were, which is the reasion i love the RX7s
you can get a 7 today and still be unique.

funny side note i had a Z owner staring at the RX today and once he saw me he is like... dam those back seats are sweet wish i had thsoe hehehe..

I believe the RX-8 will be very common place on the street. That's the whole point. Do you think Mazda really didn't want to sell a lot of the RX-7? Every car company wants to flood the market with their cars. I hope the RX-8 is everywhere. It can only help mazda and the rotary's survival. The more 8's on the road, the better and more available performance parts will be, the cheaper they'll be, the more iterations of rotories we'll see in other cars (wouldn't you die for a renesis powered miata??) I hope mazda sells the rx-8 out their ass. I hope they have to open a second plant solely to build the renesis motor to keep up with production. These are all good things.

the 8 won't be nearly as common place as the civic mainly because of the pricetag, but it's FAR more attainable than the last RX-7. That's what I was reffering to.
