Well I actually bought a Tundra Stepside a few months ago instead of the 8. I did it because I can write it off as a capital expense.

I really do love the Tundra though. I've had about 8 sports cars in the past and 2 SUVs. The Tundra is far better than any SUV I've owned (2 4Runners).

It's got gobs of power and is actually quite fast. Mine is a TRD (street) version and I almost bought the supercharger and headers which can boost hp and torque by about 45%.

I also got a killer deal on it. 1k under invoice and another 2k off. I highly recommend the Tundra.

Plus the Tundra seems to get better mileage. :p

V8 tundra - Tons of torque. Yummy! ;)

RX8 - Killer styling, killer interior, killer engine, killer everything. :D

I was thinking about getting a dog, or a snake. Then I decided on a dog. The snake had no legs...then I thought maybe I'd pick up a guinea pig, but I didn't.

Tundras are not like 8s.

Do you catch my drift????:D

It just so happens I work at the plant that builds the Tundra.

I must agree with mxmedina the Tundra does handle great
especially with the optional Sports Suspension Package.

If you do add a supercharger alone it makes H.P. around 353

but..... They are two completely different vehicles

ditto...can we say rollover collision?

if u want hauling power, then sure, but the 8 is in a different class. not used for hauling..used for fun!!!!!:D

I know they can take a 40mph turn, because I have had them on the test track. And yes it handles great for a truck. I think you are thinking of a SUV on the rollover thing.

I think the RX-8 was built to handle great, and the Tundra was built to do what a truck does, but has the ride and agility of a sports sedan.

mikeb... Go see Terminator 3. They destroy a Tundra in a chase scene.

Why not buy them both?

Everyone needs the functionality of a truck. The Ego-Testosterone look/feel of an 8 can't be beat....

money might be a issue for him buying both

I have both. I have had a 2000 tundra since Nov 99. I just got my RX8 Sept 26. The Tundra is a great riding truck and with a rear sway bar really handles well. I use it mostly to tow my 17 Lund fishing in Canada. I have towed it 12,000 miles so far. I love my 8 so far and I due get better gas mileage then in the Truck.
