I need Help

When i drive the power band skips from 6 to 9 k rpm and i lose a bit of power. When i am at lower rpm the car drives perfectly fine. :dunno:

Im thinking it MIGHT be that the clutch and/or flywheel are worn out as my car has 45k miles on it and it was a demo car at the begining of her life. Idiots might have stripped her clutch.

I recently put royal purple tranny fluid in just for the heck of it and my other mods are visible in my sig.

I have installed new coils , new spark plugs, Racing Beat plug wires and there is no CEL.

What do you guys think might be the problem

Also, what is the average life spam of the stock clutch and flywheel?

Quick way to check if it's the clutch is get on the highway in 6th around 50-55ish and floor it. If your clutch is going to crap it will likely slip.

a slippage would feel like what i described above correct?,

It does not slip when i am on the highway, it only "skips" when i rev high between gears...

Im really scared on this issue.... i dont think the dealership can just easily check if it is indeed the clutch.... they will have to take out the tranny and charge me a pretty penny for.... if there is an agreement that it is the tranny then i might as well buy the act combo and install it myself saving me about 400 dollars in labor costs

This doesn't really sound like a clutch, test it like QBallz said and see. By skip, do you mean you feel a shuddering? If so, that would sound like an ignition problem, plugs, wires, or coils.

it feels like you driving and suddenly you double tap the throttle.... that is exactly what it feels like... i have replaced the coils and the plugs and the wires... so i dont understand why it would be that problem... i will check my plug and try to retighten them to factory specs

you need to find someone in your area that knows this stuff. lots of people in your area.. sounds more like a fuel delivery problem...

first thing i would do is reset the kamm and the whole ecu...

see if that helps.. also check your maf..

Clogged fuel filter maybe but sounds more like an ignition fault .

eeeeeek........ so fuel problems, maybe clogged fuel filter...... ill have a someone look at it with those idea kept in mind...
