Picked up my 8 today, a day early. Black, auto, touring with 7 miles on it. I so wanted to open it up, but my sensibility caught up with with me :) . So I just sat back and enjoyed all the attention :p . Once traffic dies down, I'm gonna go put some miles on it. Just wanted you guys to know that you have another owner in your midst.

Not like it is a bad thing, I'm just curious:) What made you chose the Auto over the 6spd?

Got the auto mainly because of scar tissue in my left knee (from an old high school hurdling injury). It becomes fairly painful after long periods of repetitive use. Since I drive in rush hour traffic quite often, I opted for the auto to save myself some of that. And I was sufficiently impressed with the auto that it made this the car of choice. I looked at S2000 and 350Z, but didn't choose the S due to the reason above, and the Z felt too heavy and unbalanced when compared to the RX-8. The fit and finish on this car makes it well worth it in my book.

Congrats! I've had mine a week today. Every time I get in this car, I can't help but smile. I must look a little strange to people driving by... But who cares. I'm havin' fun.

I live in Jacksonville, FL (at least for another year or so). I'm Navy, stationed in Kings Bay, GA (sub base). Will post pics as soon as I get another digi cam, last one took a 3ft fall onto some concrete :p
