I searched around but couldn't find what I was looking for. Does anyone have clear instructions (besides the ones that it comes with), possibly a DIY, on the MS fog light brackets install? There is just something about sawing parts that are attached to my new bumper in half that makes me nervous. :Eyecrazy:

Ouch!

Does not sound like a very clean install if you have to pull out a saw;)

I have not heard of having to do this, but perhaps some other members have.

G/L regardless:)

You don't have to cut anything while it's on the bumper. I'm assuming you are referring to the ducts and the mesh. You do a lot of "installing, marking, removing, then cutting. The included instructions really are as clear as can be. Read them over a few times before starting.

He is referring to the oil cooler vents that direct air towards the oil coolers. They are very thin and easy to cut. The instructions are very thorough, as they make you test fit the brackets several times. I used a white out pen to mark the oil cooler ducts and cut with a hacksaw. Only advice, just make sure you leave as many mounting holes as possible so when you reattach the ducts to the bumper. Ive told many people that the bumper install is very simple (as you cna tell from the length of the installation guide).....however, the addition of the foglights more than doubled the install time (the installation guide for the foglight bracket is almost as long as the installation guide for the bumper).

I think the manual for the brackets is actually longer. I am going to take another stab at it this weekend.

Do you HAVE to have the cooler ducts to install the MS Brackets for the fog lights? I have a MS Replica front, it came with 2 parts that looks to be like the cooler ducts, but i tossed them because i didnt use them before.

let me know guys, as i just purchased the mounting brackets from Mazda.

I guess you don't HAVE to. I think it just helps direct the air.

I used a dremel, and worked like a charm. Bottom line is if you happen to mess up your cut, it won't be too noticeable. ;)

I took the brackets to my body shop, they said 90 CDN to install it. I figured what the heck, might as well... It will save me some trouble since im installling them on a REPLICA MS front.

Will let you guys know how it turns out... I will be doing H11 LED's in the fogs.
