marvin_rock 06-11-2007, 11:04 PM I would comment, but photobucket is blocked out here, I'm interested in seeing your taillights though.
dillsrotary 06-11-2007, 11:07 PM none of your photo links work.
jman700 06-11-2007, 11:07 PM oh....mannn. ill try to fix that right now so u can see em gimme a min.
kersh4w 06-12-2007, 04:09 PM looks pretty sweet.
i hate that in the usa you are legally required to have a front license plate. and they arent even the sleek euro plates.
Willie27 06-12-2007, 04:15 PM Not everywhere in the US, just move to AZ and you do not have a front license plate.
Jedi54 06-12-2007, 04:16 PM you need some springs....lower that bad boy.
MazdaJeff 06-12-2007, 04:40 PM Nice, as I said in the other thread, I like the two tone. It works.
kersh4w 06-12-2007, 05:29 PM the 2 tone works even better with a VR GT with the 2 tone interior.
:P
XDEEDUBBX 06-12-2007, 08:31 PM good start, now:
lower
clean
exhaust
and it'll look much better!
jman700 06-12-2007, 09:36 PM yea i have lowering springs for it but i dont wana put em on if they gona screw up my suspension and i cant afford a totaly new suspension system :/ as far as exhaust....im definatly set once i put on new tailpipes and i guarentee that my exhaust sounds louder than any out there on other rx8's....some ppl dont want it that loud but i do :)
Razz1 07-14-2007, 07:05 PM Got anymore day time pictures?
HCTR154 07-14-2007, 07:35 PM yea i have lowering springs for it but i dont wana put em on if they gona screw up my suspension and i cant afford a totaly new suspension system :/ as far as exhaust....im definatly set once i put on new tailpipes and i guarentee that my exhaust sounds louder than any out there on other rx8's....some ppl dont want it that loud but i do :)
Not sure what you mean by "new suspension" being required after installing lowering springs. All you really need to do is get an alignment.
NgoRX8 07-14-2007, 08:06 PM yea, most springs won't show a drastic premature wear on the shock in comparison to the stocks. we don't even know how long the stocks will last.
jman700 07-14-2007, 09:18 PM so i should put the lowering springs on? cause i heard it wasnt good for the car unless you bought new coilovers as well. and no i dont have more daytime pictures ill try to take some and get that video/audio of the exhaust. but can u guys give me advice as far as the lowering springs go? should i put them on or not
MyEnemy 07-15-2007, 01:16 AM The car looks nice. Why did you put on yellow brake calipers though?
AJ's Shinka 07-15-2007, 03:04 AM To go with the yellow rotors.:banghead:
paulmasoner 07-15-2007, 03:13 AM lol
NgoRX8 07-15-2007, 10:29 AM what's springs do you have that you wanna put on?
imput1234 07-15-2007, 10:46 AM You need some better pics
jman700 07-15-2007, 03:36 PM what's springs do you have that you wanna put on?
im not sure. the place where i got a lifetime membership for alignment gave it to me cause this guy there had them and said that he wasnt goin to use them so he gave them to me :/ they are purple but they dont have a brand on them or anything.
and i dont know i jsut thought red was too common so i went with yellow. and they are just painted so i can change the color if i want. i think im goin to paint them black along with the inside of my rotors. and yea im working on getting some new pictures i would take them now but its rainin outside :/
jman700 07-15-2007, 07:25 PM you guys wanted more/better pics....here ya go.....theres a few there that are closer which show the painted pieces on top, the taillights, and the exhaust cutout. :)

SoFL_RX8 07-15-2007, 09:30 PM Not to be a stick in the mudd... but youve got a serious gap between your front fenders and hood, I can see your engine bay thru it. Not really feeling the yellow calipers, doesnt fit the rest of your color scheme, and your rotors are ruuuuusty.
Besides that it is looking good. Youre on the right track, just try to keep things tastefull and not too obnoxious (i.e. your loudest exhuast ever plan) We have plenty of loud-for-nothing cars already in FL, what we dont have enough of is clean/well put together street cars.
Keep up the good work man, and take what I say for a grain of salt... its your ride, do what makes you happy.

I was just about to post the same thing!
NgoRX8 07-15-2007, 09:37 PM i'm not sure if i would put springs with an unknown brand on. i'd find out what brand it is first before i put it on. maybe someone on here will know if you take a picture of it. ya don't even know how much it's suppose to drop.
jman700 07-15-2007, 10:41 PM nope idk how much its supposed to drop. ill take a picture later and post it up but i kinda figure theyr arnt really good since i got them for free and all

i cant really do anything with the gap. ive tried adjusting the hood latch and all but i c ant really do much its just how the hood was made. and the calipers and rotors are gona be painted...once i can get a hold of a key to take of my rims :/
PhreakdOut 07-15-2007, 11:26 PM Nice Ferrari. I agree, lowering is better, but all mods in good time.
This exhaust mod, waaaayyyy bad idea bro. Fuel tank no likey the hot exhaust. That shield will only do so much. Start throwing flames and you may see a few more.

RX927 07-16-2007, 01:37 AM get a clip of the car and how it sound when your exhuast plan is done. Im interested to hear what it sounds like.

jman700 07-17-2007, 01:20 AM welll GREAT NEWS GUYS! i went over to a friends house at night and i was behind this girl and she had to go so i had to back out and i couldnt see cause it was almost pitch black and i put two F*****G giant dents in my rear fender and tons of hairline scratches. because he decided it would be cool to have the jumanji forrest in his front yard with a foot wide driveway :( its looks really easy to get out.......but stilll sucks. its too dark right now to take pictures but ill take some tomorrow and post them :wallbash: :anger: :owned:
not a fun night :(
jman700 07-17-2007, 10:10 AM pretty stupid.... :banghead: :banghead:  :icon_no2:

VASasha 07-17-2007, 10:38 AM Ouch.....those dents might be poppable though. Doesn't look like there are any creases there might not be as bad as it looks. The scratches on the bumper though.......fresh paint might get the job done.
jman700 07-17-2007, 10:50 AM yea i think they are popable too. and the scratches seem pretty light. ill probably just try to buff them out. :/
He||hammer 07-17-2007, 10:51 AM try and compound those scratches out you might get most of it cleaned up, if not you could always just respray like sasha suggested :)
VASasha 07-17-2007, 11:06 AM Actually, now that I look at it again, that dent just behind your rear door might have a crease. Do you have a better picture of that one?
NgoRX8 07-17-2007, 11:49 AM dang, those are two big dents. the one behind the fuel door looks like it can be popped back. not sure about the one in front.
jman700 07-17-2007, 11:56 AM im pretty sure the front one will come out too...its like right where the fender ends but i think it should pop out fine if not ill get a dent doctor to finish up whats left messed up...im just glad i turned the other way a little bit so instead of having a hugeeeee dent across my whole car i just have to. semi huge ones lol. i think i need to buy a good luck charm or somethin

reaper1 07-17-2007, 01:55 PM After looking at the first pictures , I thought clear corner were needed but now it seems you have a bigger fish to fry with does dents.
Good luck..........
VASasha 07-17-2007, 04:58 PM Yeah you can pop it, no crease. You got lucky.
kennychopra17 07-25-2007, 11:43 AM Sorry about your luck with the dents.
I'm indifferent about your color scheme as well as the wheels, etc.
Keep working on it and do what makes you happy. Thats what its all about. You don't have anyone else to impress but yourself.
Your pops is ferrari on the other hand is dope. You should trade cars with him :)

Fortunate Few 01-27-2008, 06:27 AM did you use vinyl to cover your tails im thinking about doing ti to mine. but i dont know if its hard to do because of the shape. if you did use vinyl where did you get it from, i dont want mine to be dark and yours are perfect.
xenite400bhp 01-27-2008, 09:42 AM wooO...i really like your taillight..its damn cool :)
Lil_Gato 01-28-2008, 04:18 AM yeah how did you do your tail lights, i use the tint stuff and it started to come up so i gotta redo mine... again.
ShAdOwFoX 01-28-2008, 12:29 PM heres some updated pics of the ferrari if anyones interested.
Great looking ferrari, is that a 360 modena?
jman700 02-13-2008, 08:54 PM sorry guys ive been away from the club for a while....but yes its a 360 modena and no we didnt really aim to make it look like the challenge, just kind of came out that way butttt something got messed up in the engine and they are trying to fix it but as of now it is dead :( but my dad just got a red sl500 and he is going to sell his blue sl500 until he finds a different one. and as far as the taillights on my car go...its not vinyl. its spray tint. the kind you can get on ebay. works good but doesnt leave them with that fresh " i just spent 250$ to smoke my tailights out " look...its flat. not glossy. but i save about 230$ so ill take it...........but for whoever scrolls on through and reads this im in a predicament......my car has a nice collection of dents in it as pictured earlier....so somehow....i convinced my dad to fix it up. turns out my carbonfiber trunk and hood started turning yellow due to the hot florida sun. and the hood began to crack. soooo luckily our friend is a dealer and he is selling 2 rx8's for parts and we are buying the stock hood and trunk....now heres where im torn. i can custom paint my car as i please...im firm on getting it two tone grey/black. what i was thinking is from the front bumper nose follow the hood lining up to the roof and back down to the trunk. have all the black. and leave the rest of the car the grey. im not sure if this is the best idea and how i should go about following the lining. PLEASE let me know what you think. mean and rude or not. and if you have pictures or photoshopped pictures to back what your thoughts are or mine. please post them! thankss
jman700 02-13-2008, 08:56 PM heres close to what i was thinking. sorry bout the picture of the sub. i took it from another post. but this is what im thinking bout the two tone. comments?
Nice Ferari, why didnt you get one a lambo or ferari instead of the 8? :P
jman700 02-15-2008, 12:28 PM hahahaha i wish...but i had to pay for my own car so a lambo was just out of reach of my budget
jman700 02-27-2008, 12:52 AM ******UPDATE****** car went into the shop on monday. im getting the dents fixed and painting it two-tone (see attached pic) except the blue will be the gray i already have....i get it back in about 3 weeks so ill take some pics once i get it back :)
ShAdOwFoX 02-27-2008, 02:05 AM great keep us updated :)
c41250n 02-27-2008, 02:06 AM lower you car!
jman700 02-27-2008, 07:29 PM will do. and i dont really have the money to spend on lowering my car right now so thatll have to wait for a while.
lxlxlxl_saki_lxlxlxl 02-27-2008, 07:46 PM So what are u driving rite now if your 8 is in the shop? WONDERING =]
jman700 02-27-2008, 09:15 PM my dads f150 :/ i was driving the sl500 but he sent it to the shop for something
Steven Carones 03-02-2008, 09:19 PM looks pretty sweet.
i hate that in the usa you are legally required to have a front license plate. and they arent even the sleek euro plates.
thats why i just ordered myself one of those "sleek euro plates" and put it on my 8, looks WAY better than the US tags :naughty:
Guitarded76 03-02-2008, 09:33 PM i'll be suprised if they try to fix that rear quarter. once you try to stretch and pull that metal back into its shape, its going to be weak as hell despite its natural abilities to go back where it needs to. if you push on it anywhere and it sounds like an oil can, dont settle for less than a new quarter being put on. a good bodyman can torch it back but still, you sacrifice structural integrity back there, especially to be able to take another direct hit. hope it gets the love it deserves!!
jman700 03-03-2008, 05:25 PM eh, its not as bad as the pictures make them seem. plus i popped them out quite a bit. the body shop said those shouldn't be much of a problem but the dents on my roof wont be perfect.
jman700 03-10-2008, 10:20 PM so i went to the shop and snapped some pics of my car. it comes out tomorrow. im getting a red pin stripe but they had to order it and im going to paint my calipers red. and re-paint my tailights. also going to paint the grill glossy black and possibly painting the black bumper piece and the front lip but thats undecided.

Renesis07 05-14-2008, 07:53 PM ^^^ Looks good!!! Not my cup of tea but looks good never the less :)
the4v3ry 05-16-2008, 04:14 PM Hey man, it looks great! For my two bits, I would put some black vinyls or something else CF/black on the sides of the car. Right now, with the hood, trunk and wheels, the sides look a little TOO grey. Maybe some tasteful racing decals in black, or black sideskirts, or something. Also, again, this is just my taste, but I would try a grey looking front/rear bumper insert where the black plastic is, or with the oil cooler guards, just to break up all the CF a bit.
Nice!
