One year ago I was rear-ended by a new Chrysler Voyager. Car was *almost* a write-off.
Tonight I was rear-ended by a new Chrysler Voyager. This time car probably will be written off, the hatch won't close properly - the whole rear end is a little tweaked.
Should I go out and buy a lottery ticket, or will I be hit by lightening on the way?
Glad to be alive. This was a 5-car accident, and I was 2nd to last in the chain, and totally at the mercy of what was transpiring around me. Two cars were undriveable, mine was driveable but doesn't feel right.
For all my fellow Torontonians who were delayed on the southbound DVP today around 4:30 - 5:15, I appoligize, but "I didn't start the fire, it was already burning..."

Just to recap for those who have followed all my sagas:
T-boned by my Aunt
Rear-ended
Tree fell on front end
Windows smashed out
Rear-ended again
...all within 14 months...

I'll write details tomorrow of the chain of events that caused the accident. A diagram will be in order.

Damn, dude. Glad you're alright. You might want to consider just keeping your RX-8 in the garage in a glass case :D

Yikes- sounds like you're getting your lifetime quota of accidents taken care of all at once- sorry about your car, but at least you're ok.

Good to hear that you’re O.K…

I had a close call on my way home today on the 401, about the same time as your accident. I had to stand on the brakes, dam those Mazda ABS brakes are good. :D

Incredibly bad luck, but at least you didn't get hurt (flesh being harder to fix than metal). I wouldn't drive anywhere for a month in your situation if I didn't have to. Why/how did your Aunt T-bone you? How much has your insurance increased? Was it the same Voyager?

Grimace, good thing to hear that you are fine. Sorry to hear about the accident.

Think of it this way... if you get hit next year (which would not be cool) the RX-8 will be out and you won't have to find a buyer for your vehicle (how I got my current car).

Glad to hear that you're ok Grimace. (a tree?!??!) Trying to get all of the accidents out of the way before the Rx-8 comes home huh? :)

I drive a 93 Asuna Sunfire (Isuzu Impulse derivative).

My aunt T-boned me as I was driving past her house and she backed out of the driveway... into my car. Another freaky coincidence that it happened to be me she hit. She just didn't see me. Bright red cars are easy to miss.

My insurance hasn't gone up with all these things. I have been 100% not at fault for each incident.

Yep, main thing is I'm alright, but I'm really stiffening up. Going to see a doctor tomorrow I think.

Grim, my man, as I indicated to you in another post, you could have had my '93 Asuna back in July: perhaps it would have brought you better luck (or maybe not: either way, I feel for you!) Regardless, and I am sure I am a jerk for giving you this advice (but hey: I had to live with these jokes too!): get rid of that car as sun as u can! ;)

That is the plan! :D Not only is it cursed, but it isn't an enjoyable car on the freeway, which is where I have been spending 1.5 hours of my time each day now. Way too darty.

Grimace:

I am planning a trip to TO shortly. Can you tell me which hours you definitely WILL NOT BE ON THE DON VALLEY PARKWAY or THE 401?
Thank you

LOL

You'll be safe as long as you stay away from the Gardiner, DVP, and 401 between 7-8 am, and 4-5:15 pm.

:D
