The best I have found is from mazdaperformanceparts.com @ $496. I dont know if that does or does not include shipping. I have seen on the flywheels, flywheels, flywheels thread that it's listed @ $480? Im wondering if anyone knows any good deals going around on them right now?

Thanks in advance

Sam

How hard is the install on a flywheel? Is it worth the 500$ like in terms of what it can actually do? Is the install hard? How much should a dealer typically charge for something like this?

well, let me break down the details. a shop changed mine a while ago, but they did a really lousy job so I need to *reinstall* again. I am still trying to find time to do mine, as a first timer, I read the service manual like a thousand times.

take the shifter knob out
take the center console apart
take the shifter apart
jack the car up
Have something to support the engine (like a jackstand or engine stand)
Have something to support the rear diff, in the manual it saids a short piece of wood stab will do.
take the CAT off (my advise)
Loose the PPF bolts and take the PPF off
carefully take the center shaft off
loose the bolts for the Tranny, careful this thing is heavy so it might just fall off.
you will see the Clutch cover, take it out
you will see the stock FW, the center big nut is hard as FUXK to loose.
