I know many RX8 Owners here are familiar and most likely work on their 8 themself. I am however afraid to do something major to my 8 (change air filter and light bulb) worried I might mess the car up. So here is what I purpose and asking for help. I live in Stanton, CA, and would love to know if anyone know a good and experience Rotory prefer RX8 mechanic, that you can recommand me to, so if I want something change to my car, instead of taking it to the dealer and have to explain to them why i want this or that put in my car, I can have my 8 work on and don't have to worry about the hassle. Plus, I always have a notion that they charged me an arm and leg just by installing a trust bar for example.

Please use this format. I am sure someone else beside me will benefit from this as well:

Shop name:
State:
City:
Phone number if any:
Specialize in(ie: Brake,Engine,Stereo,Suspension,body kit,etc...):

Thank you first for the info.
Ben

This is definitely region specific. Not to be posted here.

You guy can split this into region specific is fine with me. I just need some info. So far no one have yet recommend their local RX mechanic! I wonder, are we all take our cars to the dealer to have them mod our car. I don't think so! I don't have a lot of contacts and I don't want to take my car to some mechanic so he can use my car to sharpen his skill. I want someone who know what they are doing to work on my car. Common you guy, please start helping me and those who fed up with expensive idiot dealers. However, I do have to say that some dealer do really have knowledgeable mechanic but just somehow make me feel as though they're too expensive(riping you off!) every time I pay! One most important thing for me as well is that they don't let you see what they are doing to your car. I know it is a liability issue, but just able to stand 15 feet away and see it with your own two eyes what the mechanic is doing to your car is just to me a Peace of mind!!!
