I am sure we have all thought about this since we have not seen many RX-8s. If it is true that Mazda only makes approximately 60,000 RX8s a year. Then probalbly about 75 percent (plus or minus) are making there way to the North American Continent.

These numbers (approx 45K) would make help the resale value since there is a limited number of cars.

If Mazda keeps current production levels the same our cars could maintan a better then average value.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That, plus rumors the MSRP is about to go up will also help resale value.

I drove my 8 for two months without seeing another on the road.
Last week I saw two so they are coming

I've seen exactly one in over two months, not counting a RX8 rally we had back in July. Still a pretty exclusive club.

i was the only one for about 1 month in my town.....now at my local car meet last weekend, there were 4!

Just remember, in Canada there were only 700 shipped (first time out) In my 2 months of driving on Calgary streets I've only seen 1 other 8. A couple of my friends have spotted a few more. I figure there's only 16 or so 8's in all of Calgary.

Sure is fun to own such a "unique" vehicle.

saw one same colour as mine! been only a month since i picked up mine!

I hope to God that this car bombs the first two years so there won't be any out on the streets when I get mine in a year

i've seen 6 in los angeles over a span of 3 months

Remember also that the ones you see out and about may not all be owners, they could well be test drives.

Uk get 2000 in the first year - 1000 next month for pre-orders(ME!).

I know one or two people who are buying close to me, but its a big busy place and I dont think I'll be seing many on the roads in the first year or two.

So far I have only seen a yellow one in my area. I was in my minivan following it.

I live in Atlanta and I still haven't seen another 8 on the roads!

My friend in Atlanta has seen two -- called me with the news. Up here (MA, NH, ME), I haven't seen any. Get attention from everyone, tho, from 8-yr olds tugging at their daddies shirttails and pointing, to their daddies daddies asking me "what kinda car is that, anyway???"
