The only way these would throw a light is if you cut some wires you weren't supposed to. Even then, it's still highly unlikely

Slightly off the topic here, but it does relate: Does anyone know of a specific 194 blue LED bulb that matches the color of RR's blue LEDs? I bought some "super blue" LEDs from V-LEDS for my doors and they are a lighter blue, which really clashes with the footwell lights. If I can't find a good match, I'll probably just go with a super white.

I would recommend them to anyone considering them. I got a set of blue for when the courtesy lamps are on and red for when the headlights are on. Looks great. I used to have neons on another car and these are way better. Much smaller and easier to mount.

yes you can. If you want to turn them off when your driving you'll need to install a simple switch. Not hard at all, you just have to find a spot to mount it.

dude, i'm still in love with my LEDS. i have a black cherry shinka and i had rodger send me the red and blue lights last year. i installed the red LEDS for when my headlights are on, and the blue ones when i open my doors. they're well worth the money. anyone that rides with me is impressed and wants them in their car also.

my wife just called that the package arrived and i also received the sun. today and tomorrow are the warmest days in over a month with highs in the mid-50s and partly cloudy. looks like you delivered on both promises.

now to get home after work and get them installed.

Just got my second set of LED's today. Already have them in the footwells, this set is going in the trunk. Looks like Rodger found a better way to plug them in then wire taps, but I won't be taking advantage of that since I'll be splicing into the trunk's light.

I made you a trunk kit. Just remove the stock light bulb and plug in the connector I made. Try it before you hack it up. ;)

also, if the trunk lights don't work the first time, reverse the connector 180 degrees.

gave the install a shot but missed one of the yellow wires from the passenger's side set. i expected the driver's side to at least light but i must have done something wrong. i'll have to give it a shot on another day b/c my neck and back are killing me.

After about 1hr of troubleshooting I finally got it installed. The drive side LED set would not turn on! I was thinking that somehow I had screwed up the crimps but I noticed that when I touched the LED board it would flash on then off. After pulling back the electrical tape on rotery rasp's LED board I found the problem. One of the soldered wires had detached and was tapping the LED when the board was moved around. After a 5 minute solder job I had it up and running, had me worried for a minute but it looks nice now I will post pictures this weekend.

i believe changing the guage color is a pretty complex project if i remember reading some people wanting a DIY. that and i'm not all that handy so i doubt it's something i'll take on but i'm really digging the green with my NG and that thought process might change after a little bit.

I've never found any record of anyone actually pulling it off... ive considered attempting it, but I cant risk having the car out of action for that long, and if it was anything but near impossible, i figure someone woulda done it by now. I think you have to pull off every button on the dash, scape off the red coating, and change the white backlights to blue or... green... as for the tach... god only knows whats behind that thing.

Just got it installed personally by RR. The red lights look awesome, just awesome. I will have to do some more night time driving.

good to know. if there's any way they are done by the 22nd i won't complain. :) i might have been a bad brother and waited until the last minute to get my sister her b-day gift. no rush though - at least this year i remembered to get her something. :spank:

really, no worries on when they go out - i was just kidding around. i wish i were also kidding that about not getting her anything last year so she'll just be psyched to eventually get them.

I just got mine, didn't install yet, but was wondering if you make, or know of anyone who makes similar LED stuff to replace the dome lights? Think that would compliment them nicely.

I just got them and installed the LEDs but cant decide which way i want to hook them up opinions would be nice.

i lost control going off the road and it gots totaled. the insurance company is doing what they want with the car since i got the check, so i would assume the lights are still where they were =P

I dunno, can't you be like I left some stuff in the car, and go yank your lights out or something?

heh it was like a month ago when the accident happened so i have no earthly idea what continent the car is on atm.

got my lights in the mail... unfortunately its freezing outside and sn0wing -grrrr-

got my Red LED lights in the mail today. Will have to wait for spring thaw to install but instructions are very clear and should be no problem other than lack of personal physical flexibility required to get under dash.

Received my footwell LED's in the mail today! They were packaged really well and shipment was fast, arrived in one week from the order date. I haven't opened the package yet, but plan to install them tomorrow or this weekend, whenever time permits. Thanks again Roger.

i just wanted to stop and say congrats RR. you did a fantastic job with these things. i a little innovation for your own needs turned out to be a great product for many of the members :)
