so I'm thinking of getting the 8 repainted, either go with lightning yellow with pearl white accents.... or go hot ultra bright PINK!

I know awhile back in Japan, pink cars were a huge Fad and phase, but I'd thought a hot pink 8 would look nice, that color would only hi-lite the fine curves of the car.

i'll have to photoshop more pics, but the car definately needs a new paint job, too many rock chips, people keying the hood, tornado damage... etc..

I dont want the flat yellow, so i'll be adding white pearls to it, to make it brighter in appearance. or go outragously different and go hot pink! lol

Don't do it. Every time I see a pink car on the road not only is it ugly as sin but it's always driven by a chick or some near-homeless person who couldn't afford anything else. I guarantee you that people will start questioning your sexuality if you intentionally change the color of your car to pink.

Purple is another story. But pink is always going to be a chick color.

dont get me wrong, the yellow would look classy and clean, but in the judges eye it might not be enough to catch their eye. i'm pretty sure they've seen all the yellows, reds, silver, black rx8's. and some obnoxiously crazy color scheme with tons of decals and stickers, but if it's the first solid color that they have never seen, it just might get their attention. I for one have not seen a lot of 8's in certain colors that i've been thinking. i.e Orange Sherbert, Candy Apple.. etc... oh well we'll see what I can come up with lol

see that's the point, it is out of date and no one does it anymore. so that would mean.. it would be different from everyone else. to seperate yourself from the pack would draw attention. I was at the autovations and the DUB show up here and seriously, every single car looked/ had the same thing and it was boring. The winning car was an OEM car with lots of ICE, while the JDM conversions with similar ICE lost because there were too many replica JDM's of the same car there. so it didnt gain points. DUBs had the winning car with rediculous huge ass rims, that can barely fit.

vinyl graphics will be something i will never touch, that came and went like a one-hit wonder.


I was talking to the guy who will be doing the paint job, he said that the pink will cost a lot more, so that might deter me from choosing pink lol. but Lightning White-Pearl Yellow sounds good. :rock:

But i think i'll go with Yellow with a metallic silver/white Camo, my painter mentioned that he can make it so at certain angles it'll appear flat yellow, and some angles it'll look like polished silver/white 8. just hope the curse of the silver doesnt follow me too!

If you're going for outrageous, go pink.

I'm not outrageous myself, so I picked yellow. I don't even wear pink, much less drive it. Yellow can be gorgeous... but if you're looking for something different, have you considered Kawasaki Green? Or maybe an orange?
