To flex the Bose system gently into life, has anyone had any thoughts into what CD (radio does'nt count) will be first to bed the system in ?

For me, it needs to a well produced CD that will loosen up the speakers nicely with good treble, sweet midrange and taut/deepish bass.

That CD : Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms.

Although I must stress I'm now heavily into Linkin Park.

Bizarrely, particularly as they aren't my fave band, the remastered Rolling Stones' 40 licks....

It has to be:

Propellerheads - Decksanddrumsandrockandroll.

Uncluttered bare essentials percussion working in perfect unison with fluid basslines and no nonsense samples.

A moment hopefully not too far from now heading North/East on the A3!!!

Sorry Guys,

A bit of class, either:

Everything Must Go - Steely Dan

OR

AJA - Steely Dan.

I think it'll have to be Feeder, Echo Park. Driving off at speed listening to the track Buck Rogers

He's got a brand new car
Looks like a Jaguar (R-D6 :D )
It's got leather seats
It's got a CD player (player, player, player... )

But I don't wanna talk about it anymore...

To suss the quality will have to be Tears for Fears:- Seeds of Love (fantastic production)

For the ear bleed it will be The Darkness:- Permission to land. (An album I have had before the hype) Highly influenced by Queen who will also featue heavily on the CD player!

Didn't want to sound too "old" but someone mention Dire Straits first!!!:D :D :D

particularly tracks 6, 10 and 13, you'll struggle to beat spybreak for testing a system.

(although the original matrix soundtrack with spybreak, clubbed to death and minefields is worth a run out)

although I've just downloaded the nightrider and magnum themes, add starsky and hutch and you can laugh your arse off at speed

Is the "zoom zoom zoom" song available on CD?

If not, then Chemical Brothers (Come With Us) when I'm in a hurry, and Spearhead (Stay Human) when I'm chillin'...

Thrak- King Crimson to blow all the cobwebs away, then the 'Casts of Thousands' by Elbow to settle everything down again.
