Here is the only one I can find at the moment. I'll look for more later.

It just doesn't look as good as the 18's because it looks too small for the wheel well IMHO.

After seeing everyone else's cars with 18's, then looking at that, it's a dissappointment.

If I were to consider getting the AT, Volk wheels would be my first priority.

silver thingys - you mean the clear parking lights?

No, he means the trim pieces that are in the front grille... just like the car in the X-Men 2 movie
I'd like those "silver thingies" too - and if the RX-8 was available in that dark blue color, that'd be awesome. Not that the winning blue isn't nice - I saw a fully loaded winning blue at a dealership and it looks beautiful.

hey im a chick!!!!!!

I got the 16's thinking the would cover the wheel so you couldnt see the brakes and stuff. I think they look fine then again i dont really pay any mind to them.

How do you figure that?

Lower unsprung mass means more responsiveness and better ride, translates to better handling. Lower rotational inertia means better acceleration and better braking. The benefits of reducing unsprung weight (which includes wheels, tires, brake calipers and rotors) are many, and there are no downsides. The popularity of larger and larger wheels is a huge joke - unless people are buying very expensive forged wheels, they are almost certainly increasing the weight of the wheels and tires - which almost certainly means poorer ride, and slower acceleration (especially when they let the diameter increase as well). The only possible benefit of larger wheels/tires is a stiffer sidewall could provide slightly better cornering grip - but only on billiard table smooth pavement.

Putting 19s or 20s on an RX-8 will make the car slower. Simple engineering fact. Put a light 17" wheel on an RX-8 would make it faster.

Gordon

Hi Afrocreme,

As per http://personal.riverusers.com/~yawpower/tqvshp.html

accelerative thrust = (torque at the rear wheels / tire radius in feet)
