I just noticed today that the 76 gas station down the street sells "racing fuel" that is 100 octane gas for $4.49 per gallon. Has anyone put this in their RX-8 yet? I wonder what kind of difference it would make.

Out of curiosity, what do they charge for the other grades?

The gas station near my place sells the racing fuel also, but all I see is rednecks putting it in their 4x4's before they go mudding in the woods....something I won't be doing in the 8.

I think 91 octane was 2.17 there.

i put in 100 Octane a week ago. Not too much difference. The engine seemed to rev smoother and it was a "peppier", but nothing to go crazy about.

well in the phillipines i remember seeing 93 octane. Didnt the gas used to be the same here but then droped b/c they dont have that MTBE stuff.Right?

I HAVE PUT 104 oct in my 2003 tib s/c . It made a diff once my ecm pickd it up it took about 30 miles if that helps. you will not relly notice too much with only 100/OCT you should notice with 104 . It might be better with FI APPS I DONT KNOW and im not to good with the rotor thing just yet so in short i maybe just told you a bunch of crap:D
