room for a whole family???

Hi friends!!!
(everybody who love this car is my friend)

I am from Macedonia (I wonder if you know where this country is ) small country on south of Europe.I was so happy when I found this forum on internet, because here I found almoust everything that I wanted to know about RX-8. From yesterday I can proudly say that I will be the first one in our country that will own this car and I'll have it in December. So I need a small help from somebody who already have this car.
Because we are a country with poor economic situation, I am not so rich to have two or three cars.I have a wife and a 6 years old son and until now we have a Mitsubishi Galant, car that have enough space for us and a big trunck. Because I saw Mazda RX-8 in one foreign automagazine and immidiately fall in love, I decide that I must have this car. So the only solution for me was to sell my previous car and to add some money to by Mazda RX-8. The only problem that make me think if I have done a good thing is: Is there enough space on the rear sits and in the trunck, so I can use this car like family car for everyday living??? Can I go on vacation with this car? How confortable are the sits, can I take a long dirve with this car with my child on the rear sits? I want to know if some of you guys is using this car like family car too and what expirience you have with this issue.
Also I wanted to know what is the fuel economy of this car? Are the official information from Mazda about fuel correct in real life?
Thanks in front!

The back seats fit 2 people fine and the trunk is rather large, I think you made a good choice

Agreed! This is actually a quite suitable car for family use - we have a 15 year old son (who is 6 feet tall) and a 5 year old daughter, and both of them are very comfortable in the back seats. We have done a vacation with my son and myself, and there was lots of room in the trunk for significantly more luggage than we brought.

Enjoy! You've made a great choice.

Regards,
Gordon

Macedonia is a fine, beutiful country with a rich heratage. nestled above greece. Alaxander the great spread greek influence from this small country, thus setting the stage for modern democracys today. This courage and determination is a hallmark of the people from this region. I am proud to own the same car as you.

You made the right choice, as long as you do not need enormous trunk space. Good luck!

Car is great fun to drive in.. Trunk 's space is decent, comparing to cars in the samce class.
Fuel econ is a sore subject. I get anywhere from 14 mpg to 25 mpg on the same route of city/hwy driving, so....

My father's parents immigrated to the U.S. from Macedonia, so I also am quite familar with the area.

We use our RX-8 as a family vehicle, having 2 teenagers, and used it on vacation the 1st full week of ownership.

Boy, are you going to be the talk of the country. Enjoy every minute of it.
