Hello everyone, I'm new to these forums and just thought I'd make a general post.... fish for some opinions and whatnot.
For the next year I will be saving money to come up with approximately $10,000 for a down payment on a 2005 Automatic Winning Blue Metallic RX-8 with either the Sports package or the one after that. Otherwise everything will be stock, no spoiler, skirts etc... I like the clean look
Does 10 g's seem like a good down payment for this car?
I have an 83 z28 which I think will go for around $2k hopefully
I look forward to being on this board until I get my RX-8 and then afterwards too

i put more than 10000 down. it all depends on how much you can afford to pay per month for your payments.

I just recently purchased one that fits your description exactly, well except for color. 29,something price-wise, I put 5k down with a small amount of negative equity on trade-in. 10k down +trade should net you a decent monthly payment. Anxiously awaiting delivery of mine, 4 days to go.
:D <----- That'll be me when i pick it up.

think of it this way, every 1000 you finance (borrow) you pay about 21$ a mo. in your payments

so I'm borrowing 20,000 so roughly around 400 bux a month?

Just fyi, the 8 is a much more enjoyable car with the 6 speed transmission, it's like night and day. The engine is nothing like the one you currently have in the Z28 so if you would like to fully appreciate this car look into buying the manual version.
