Proving that it takes "more" than just an f1 driver to be able to drive these cars.

Brutal carnage.
That is some aggressive driving. It seems like those '8s were really loose.

Was this some sort of PR stunt? Too many crashes happening at one time for them to be professional drivers.

That was, I believe, a 2006 race finale highlights promo piece. Nothing to loose - roll cage, safety everything.... and it's not your car anyway. Anyone who races knows "not quite crashing" is the order of the day. Then they make mistakes...wooops...

Nice cage and seats...but yeah...that was some pretty sloppy loose driving...

EDIT: OHHH NOW IT MAKES SENSE...

Never raced ----> Wheel to Wheel Racing

That's about the dumbest and scariest idea I have ever heard.

Entertaining tho...You KNOW youd be glued to the set watching it...for the carnage alone...and so you could poke fun at it like the way we do with the WNBA...

Afterall I mean...look at the popularity of NASCAR...all those dipwads do is turn left...only reason they have such a huge following is because sometimes they screw up the left turn and eat it...

Well, tell that to M. Pablo who joined NASCAR from F1. While his F1 career never measured up to his ambition and his success in US during CART years, he's definitely anything but "dipwad".

Wheel-to-wheel racing by definition, is not easy, whether road-course or oval. I'm not a NASCAR fan, since I only follow WRC/F1 and practice autox myself. However, I have utmost respect for NASCAR racing itself, just not the fanfare hurrah and excessive coverage by the media.

Well you would imagine that eventually due to random chance you would have at least one of the dipwads with enough intelligence to do something else with relative mediocrity.

Note that I use dipwad generally as its the Pee-Wee Playhouse word of the day...

Still doesnt change the fact that turning left with a car running staggered tires to bias naturally to the left...is hard...

Hey rocket scientist -- Montoya went from Formula 1 to NASCAR, not the other way around. So far he's been doing worse in NASCAR than he did in F1.

If turning left is so easy, why aren't you making millions winning NASCAR races instead of talking smack here?

Simple...because I already make...billions...doing something else...haa ha haa...

OK but in all seriousness...if you sucked at one thing...your probably gonna suck at a derivation of the same thing...some people can, some people cant...

To truely get into racing requires one thing most people do not have...MONEY...this is especially true in NASCAR...where you either know the yokel who's family has been doing it for years...or you work your way up your entire life to *MAYBE* get picked up by someone....

I am not stupid enough to bet on a *MAYBE*...perhaps you are...knock yourself out...I on the other hand will stick to my current plans of making rediculous sums of money by sitting on my butt in front of a computer...and then use said earning to play in my off-time as I see fit...

Unfortunately I did not have a yokel heritage to get me behind the wheel of a life of left turns...but whoooo boy I'll tell you what!! I sure do make a meaaan lefty!!

+12345. talent is nothing without the ability to sacrifice and the luck and connections to get a competitive ride.

i personally get my kicks and driving glory :Eyecrazy: at setting fast times at the local kart track, heh.

anyway, that video was very painful. ouch. i'm glad i'm not the one picking up the bill.
