Sorry I'll miss the tour, but doing the family thing this weekend.

I-45 south of Houston has been closed during past weekends, and it looks like it's going to happen again this weekend. From the Houston Chronicle:

"Commonly called the Gulf Freeway, I-45's northbound and southbound lanes will be closed at NASA Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday and from 9 p.m. Saturday until noon Sunday, said Norm Wigington, a Texas Department of Transportation spokesman."

If you're traveling to Gulf Greyhound (site of the Tour) around these times, I suggest an alternative route of taking 288 south, then Highway 6 east, then 1764 east. Gulf Greyhound is on 1764, and this alternate route will get you there from the opposite side as I-45. If you're coming from downtown, this route is only 5-10 minutes longer than taking I-45.

Also, take it easy on Highway 6. Lots of cops.
