I though y'all might be interested in seeing what a car bra looks like on the '8. Not someting I drive around with everyday, but as the second picture shows, well worth it for interstate trips. Dead bug city.... :)

Dead bug city.... :) Wildcard 09-26-2003, 07:08 AM Close up. sco 09-26-2003, 07:25 AM What's one of these worth? Not pretty but better than dead bugs on the duco. Wildcard 09-26-2003, 07:31 AM $374 delivered. Ph. CAR BRA Aust. on (03) 9469 5366. BTW - I don't work for them, but their customer service was excellent, so I don't mind passing their number on. My bra was delivered 48 hours after I rang them! pepe 09-26-2003, 07:46 AM Hmmm, maybe for a trip down the freeway, at night, when no one else was on the freeway and could see you in that thing... ;) Looks pretty horrible, but can definitely see the point of having it for big trips... I have a black 8 too, so it probably wouldn't look so bad... Wing 09-26-2003, 07:46 AM UGH, man that is hideous, have you considered a clear bra? One thing I have learned about bras is they flap in the wind and can rub/scratch the paint. Hymee 09-26-2003, 12:04 PM I would think it would be more important to protect the paintwork from stones. Bugs are easy to get off if you know how. I would be more worried about:
Bugs clogging the oil cooler The thing flapping and pounding the paint finish. It looks absolutley [spew smilie]
What is the last thing that goes throug a grasshoppers mind... Cheers, Hymee. BTW sco - Duco hasn't been used as a paint finish for years :p but unfortunatley it has come into common use. One of the three D's from the "Dulux" company - Dulux, Dulon and Duco. [/historyLesson] sco 09-26-2003, 05:01 PM Hymee... yeah I know :o .. just did the typical aussie thing though to use a brand name for something generic.... esky, thermos, band-aid. :p Hymee 09-27-2003, 12:27 PM Originally posted by sco Hymee... yeah I know... just did the typical aussie thing though to use a brand name for something generic.... esky, thermos, band-aid. That's cool. I thought so, but I just wanted to ramble on with some meaningless history lesson as if I had nothing better to do ;) [we need more smilies...] Cheers, Hymee. |
