Do such establishments exist in NYC? When I lived in an apartment it used to kill me that I couldn't find a self serve car wash.

Now I have a covered driveway and hose! Woo Hoo!

Sucks to be you Jordan! LOL

JK man. If you need a place to Zaino you're welcome to drop by on the weekend - I'd like to see the results. I'm using Mother's stuff right now and by looking at some Zaino pics, I'm curious to see if the stuff really is that great.

I have an exhaust install to do, maybe you can give me a hand with that in exchange.

Looks like it's gonna be a mini-8-meet! LOL Anyone else?

Here's how I Zaino in the city without a self-serve car wash:

1. Go to a hand car wash. (They're all over. One's in LIC right next to Pep Boys, and there's one up on the northern tip of Manhattan on B'way, just before you cross into the Bronx).

2. Drive to a quiet spot near the car wash and Zaino your car. (Once the car is washed, you have no need for water or a hose.) So… I'll take my car to that place up in Washington Heights and then drive over to The Cloisters and do my car.

I'd be in. Plus a friend would be interested in first time Zainoing his car too.

It's funny I was just about to post this same question.

Actually, Ft. Tryon Park (near the northern tip of Manhattan—it has its own exit off the NB Henry Hudson Pkwy) is the perfect place to Zaino your car! Just seconds from the HH Parkway, it's quiet, scenic, and there are spots where you can park in the shade. No one bothers you—though you may meet another car nut working on his car, too. Spending a few hours there—with the birds singing, the quiet, and the killer view of the Hudson—is WAY nicer than spending a few hours at a self-serve car wash. And remember, you don't have to Zaino the exact second you finish washing your car—your car just has to be totally clean. So you can wash it at a car wash and then drive to Ft. Tryon or Flushing Meadows Park—or any park with a parking lot—and Zaino there. If you pick up a bit of dust or dirt on the way over, just touch it up with a detailer like Z-7 before you begin.

Just my 2¢.
