just wondering if any of u guys had been to/heard about this event:

www.autoshowinmotion.com

basically it's GM doing a traveling "test-drive'a'thon". since it's free i might go check it out. might be kinda fun to whip around the course in a vette or go "off-roadin" in a new H2...

well, then again...why whould anyone take an H2 off-roadin? ;)

Many thanks!! There is one in my town in a few weeks. I will try out a few of the 'cool' ones.

If the event is anything like one I participated in a couple years ago, they do set up a very simple course for you to test drive on. And they did have Corvettes.

However the "course" is maybe 20 seconds if you drove flat out, which you can't because they have multiple cars on course at once so you're stuck behind someone else driving 20-25mph. Oh, and high profile cars like the Corvette you can only drive once.

Hi all,

I went to the one in Denver and would recommend it to anyone who likes to test drive cars for free. :) I registered online after I got something in the mail that said I had been "chosen". [I am the chosen one]

I took a friend with me and we drove a bunch of different cars and trucks around cones then got a free lunch on top of that! The courses are pretty short and you're not supposed to screech tires but it was pretty cool to be able to go up to all kinds of new cars with keys in them and just get in and drive them.
